ESCAMBIA COUNTY EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES SELECTED AS PROVIDER
OF THE YEAR FOR THE STATE OF FLORIDA
 County
Administrator George Touart is proud to announce that Escambia
County Emergency Medical Services has been selected as EMS
Provider of the Year. In his notification letter, Mr. Charles
Bement, State of Florida EMS Bureau Chief, commended Escambia
EMS for their service to the community and the accomplishments
achieved over the past several years. Escambia County EMS
competed against several other EMS providers in the State
for the award.
Janice Kilgore, Director of Public Safety, attributes this
recognition to the sincere commitment, dedication and hard
work of all the Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics,
Dispatchers and Administrative professionals in the department.
From the initial 9-1-1 dispatch, to delivery of the patient
to an area hospital, the Paramedics and EMTs continually demonstrate
compassion and exemplary care to their patients.
The award will be presented on July 10, 2003 during the State
EMS Advisory Council Meeting held in Orlando.
