Hi Kids! Let's Learn About 9-1-1!

9-1-1 is the EMERGENCY telephone number to call if you need help.

When do I use 9-1-1?

You should call 9-1-1 when you see a crime, fire or when someone is hurt and needs an ambulance.

  • What will the 9-1-1 operator need to know?
  • What has happened?
  • What phone number are you calling from? Where are you?
  • Where is the help needed?

What else will I need to know? STAY ON THE TELEPHONE -- DO NOT HANG UP! The operator may need to let you talk to someone else. Speak clearly - do not shout!
